CUMMING, GA – April 4, 2011: Experienced trial lawyer David M. Van Sant has been named by Georgia Super Lawyers as a Rising Star and one of the top up-and-coming attorneys in the state for 2010. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state receive this honor.

Rising Stars of Georgia was founded to recognize the top up-and-coming attorneys in the state — those who are 40 years old or younger, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less.

The selections for this esteemed list are made by the research team at Super Lawyers, which is a service of the Thomson Reuters, Legal division based in Eagan, MN. Each year, the research team at Super Lawyers undertakes a rigorous multi-phase selection process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, independent evaluation of candidates by the attorney-led research staff, a peer review of candidates by practice area, and a good-standing and disciplinary check.

“This award means a lot to me because the nomination came from my peers and is endorsed by my peers,” said Van Sant. “I am honored to be recognized by other professionals in the industry for providing quality legal services.”

Van Sant represents individuals in all kinds of personal injury claims including, slip and fall, wrongful death, automobile accidents, tractor trailer accidents and motorcycle accidents.  He is able to capitalize on his years of experience working with insurance companies to help individuals maximize their recovery.

The objective of the Super Lawyers’ process is to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource for attorneys and consumers searching for legal counsel. Since Super Lawyers is intended to be used as an aid in selecting a lawyer, they limit the lawyer ratings to those who can be hired and retained by the public, i.e., lawyers in private practice and Legal Aid attorneys.
