Personal Injury Attorneys Serving the Injured in the Sandy Springs, GA Area
Sandy Springs is a three-way thrill for us – some of our best friends live here, the city’s atmosphere combines both urban and pastoral influences, and we love relaxing here – lounging on the banks of the Chattahoochee River (especially during the Chattahoochee Summer Splash) or bass fishing in Bull Sluice Lake. Even on workdays, it is not unusual to find one of us here visiting a client.
Considering what we do for a living, however, you may not be surprised to hear that danger is never far from our minds. A traffic accident, medical malpractice, a slip and fall accident, or even a dog attack can strike in a moment and turn your life upside down. No matter how many safety precautions you exercise, none of them can completely protect you against someone else’s carelessness.
Refuse to Play the Role of Victim
If you have suffered a serious personal injury, right now is probably a tumultuous time for you. Your physical suffering must be difficult enough, without even factoring in the inevitable emotional turmoil you must be experiencing. It is the sudden financial pressure, however, that comes as a surprise to many people. The realization that someone else was responsible for your accident adds insult to injury.
At Van Sant Law,, our job is to relieve those financial pressures for you so that you can concentrate fully on recovering from your injuries and returning to your daily routines. We know as well as anyone how stingy insurance companies will try to stonewall you or employ “dirty tricks” to try to get you to damage your own claim so that they can save money. We won’t let them get away with it.
No Upfront Fees
Because over 90 percent of our clients end up being compensated for their injuries, we won’t charge you a dime until you actually receive compensation. And if you don’t receive compensation, our services will be free of charge.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How can I prove the defendant liable for the accident?
There are many ways to do this, including:
- Proving that the defendant was violating a safety law at the time of the accident (victory is not automatic in this case, however)
- Arranging the testimony of eyewitnesses.
- Scientifically reconstructing the accident (you will probably need an expert witness for this).
How can a back injury be medically proven?
In certain cases, a serious back injury might be difficult to prove, even if it causes you considerable pain. Doctors use X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, EMGs and other techniques to identify back injuries. If you had a pre-existing back injury, you can be sure than an insurance company will jump on this.
Can I sue more than one party at the same time?
Yes, as long as the facts of your case justify it. Common second defendants include:
- The defendant’s employer
- The manufacturer of a defective product that contributed to the accident
- A government (for failing to properly maintain public property, for example)
How can I settle my medical bills before my compensation arrives?
You have three main options:
- Med-Pay (no-fault supplemental auto insurance), if you have it.
- Your own health insurance. You must exhaust any Med-Pay benefits first.
- An agreement with your healthcare provider to delay payment until after you receive compensation.
