A three-car accident on I-285 near the Chatahoochee Bridge is under investigation. The crash, which involved a semi, a Lexus sedan, and a Toyota Tacoma, occurred last Thurday during rush hour around 4:20 p.m. A passenger in the Tacoma was killed. No one else was seriously injured.

Investigators shut down the eastbound lanes of the interstate yesterday in an attempt to reconstruct the accident. Conflicting witness and driver reports, which are common in serious accidents, led to the reconstruction. At this time no fault has been determined, but news reports, including the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, say either the driver of the semi or the Lexus made a lane change that caused a collision that then pushed the Lexus into the Tacoma. The Tacoma rolled several times and a passenger was killed.

Situations like this are tragic. Not only did someone lose their life, but serious consequences lie ahead for the driver who was responsible. Even in accidents, there is typically a responsible party. Whether you believe the accident is your fault or not, you need an attorney to help ensure that your rights are protected.
